Former minister Malusi Gigaba’s wife, Norma, was arrested on Friday
for alleged assault and malicious damage to property.

spokesperson Brigadier Hangwani Mulaudzi confirmed the matter on Friday evening
that a suspect has been arrested, after a warrant of arrest was
executed.
She will spend the weekend in police cells ahead of her court appearance at Hatfield Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
A video of a damaged vehicle went viral on social media this week.
It is believed the vehicle belongs to her husband, Malusi.
During
an on-air interview with broadcaster Mulaudzi who still declined
to confirm the suspect’s identity, confirmed that the former minister
had been assaulted, but would not elaborate on the extent of the
injuries inflicted.
