Coca-Cola Life is the company’s first lower-calorie cola.
Coca-Cola Life does not have a cool new green cover only, it has lower-calories, sweetened from a blend of sugar and stevia plant extract. It was announced the the drink would undergo its first recipe changes since its initial launch, with the sugar set to be removed.

In a way to reduce even more sugar from the drink , while ensuring a great Coke taste, Coca-Cola introduced a new recipe that will include a greater level of stevia and 45% less sugar and less calories. A 330ml can will now contain 76 calories and 19 grams of sugar.
Coca-Cola Life is the first version of a soft drink to be produced with stevia and sugar as sweeteners.
This is one the the four variants under Coca-Cola’s “one brand” strategy.
The launch of Coca-Cola’s new global marketing campaign, Taste the Feeling, will unite all four variants and raise awareness of the choice available within the Coca-Cola range.
The drink contains Truvia, a branded form of stevia extract. Stevia has no calories, Truvia is currently an $80 million product, as of 2014.
It is a lower calorie version of Coca-Cola, having 27kcal/100ml, containing 60% of the calories of regular Coca cola. They tried to co-exist with Diet Coke and Coca-Cola Zero. Nationwide distribution began on November 4, 2014. Its release is the first Coca-Cola product launched in the U.S since 2006.
