The Automobile Association of SA (AA) has warned motorist, on Monday, to brace themselves for a possible fuel price hike, at the end of the month.

The Association has predicted that petrol prices are expected to increase by up to 7 cents a liter.

The Association said this is due to higher international fuel prices and the weakening rand against the US Dollar exchange rate the increase.

The increase would come at the back of two consecutive fuel price decreases, in the past two months. The last fuel increase was back in May, following President Zuma’s cabinet reshuffle, that saw petrol going up by 35 cents a litre.
