Baroka FC coach Wedson Nyirenda says their Telkom Knockout Cup success did not come as a surprise to him and the team.

Bakgaga made history this past Saturday when they defeated Orlando Pirates to win their first ever Domestic Cup since their formation in 2007 and the first by a Limpopo team in the PSL era.

Nyirenda says he told his Chairman Khurishi Mphahlele when he took over that he will win the Telkom Knockout and finish in the top 8 in the Absa Premiership.

Nyirenda also wants his players to forget about the Cup victory and focus on their league match against Mamelodi Sundowns at the Lucas Moripe Stadium starting at 19h30.

Nyirenda admits it won’t be an easy task facing Sundowns.

Other fixtures on Tuesday night:

Polokwane City v Highlands Park at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium

Free State Stars v Orlando Pirates at Goble Park

Cape Town City FC v Chippa United at Athlone Stadium
