Mbilwi teacher accused of raping learner to undergo disciplinary action
The Limpopo Department of Education says
it will institute disciplinary action against a teacher from Mbilwi
Secondary School in Sibasa who allegedly raped a 17-year-old learner.
It is alleged that the teacher who has
since been arrested on three counts of rape on Friday, raped the learner
who was in grade 12 on several occasions in 2018.
Limpopo police spokesperson Brigadier
Motlafela Mojapelo says the teacher is set to appear before the
Thohoyandou Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
The department’s spokesperson Tidimalo
Chuene has condemned the incident, saying the department will pay
serious attention to the matter.
