The Limpopo department of Health has set a target to reach 1 million
households with its indoor fumigation services ahead of the malaria
season in September.
Provincial Health MEC, Dr Phophi Ramathuba launched the anti-malaria campaign at Folovhodwe village in Musina on Tuesday.
Folovhodwe is one of the areas affected by high prevalence of malaria.
Ramathuba says they have appointed 42 malaria spraying teams with an
addition of volunteers to carry out the indoor residual spraying
programme.
She is urging residents to allow fumigation to be done in their households as a preventative measure.
