Nine learners
who were allegedly involved in a fight using pangas in
Ga-Mashashane after school, an incident that left one learner injured.
A video circulating on social media shows the learners in school
uniform charging at each other with pangas in their hands, and others
running away and screaming in the streets.
Spokesperson for the department Sam Makondo says the incident took
place days ago after school, adding to several other violent acts
involving learners in the province.
Makondo says this is shocking and that the nine learners will undergo a disciplinary hearing.
