South Africa’s worst attended show: Shock as Cassper Nyovest performs in front of 17 people only
Cassper Nyovest found himself the butt of the joke this week when a number of fans dragged him for performing at a show with a small enough crowd to fit in a taxi. The rapper was booked to perform at an event in Limpopo this past weekend with a number of artists also sharing the roster. However, for a number of reasons (some of which we will get into shortly), the rapper found himself performing in front of a small crowd that couldn’t have exceeded 20 people.
It didn’t make for kind viewing, especially because Cassper is renowned for selling out top venues around the country. One particular observer (who is obviously not a Tsibipian) took to Twitter to drag the rapper for performing with such a poor turnout.
The Tweep wrote: “Cassper performed in front of 17 people in Limpopo last night. Yeaaa Mr FillUp what what.”
To his credit, Cassper acknowledged the small crowd in a response before adding that this was more of a regular occurrence than many people realise.
The video has also sparked conspiracy theories that the residents of Limpopo have decided to boycott Cassper’s shows because of the drama that ensued between him and Limpopo-born star, Benny Maverick. The two artists clashed after Cassper accused Maverick of “stealing” the rapper’s “Fill Up” concert (which has not been trademarked).
Cassper was accused of bullying a smaller artist and standing in the way of Benny Maverick’s success. As a result of that, it is believed that fans in Limpopo are taking a stand against Cassper:
Do you think the rapper should be worried about his future performances in Limpopo?
